(UPDATE) TWO Marikina police officers have been placed under preventive custody for allegedly molesting a female colleague, the Eastern Police District (EPD) said Wednesday.
The EPD said that the incident happened on Aug. 17, 2025, while the unidentified policewoman and the two suspects, a staff sergeant and a patrolman, were on duty.
EPD district director BGen. Aden Lagradante said the complainant recounted that one of her colleagues touched her private parts while they were inside a parked police vehicle.
“The report I read said she was only touched, but the sexual act is not yet clear,” Lagradante said.
The victim delayed filing her complaint after her colleagues allegedly told her to keep silent.

The suspects have been disarmed and face both administrative and criminal charges once the allegations are proven.
The policewoman has since been transferred to the EPD headquarters where she was described as emotionally distressed but stable.
